Mother and Baby Steps Ballet

Imagination, Creative, Fun, Collaboration, Teamwork.

To provide a fun loving atmosphere where playtime is structured but always fun and engaging.

Our Baby Steps Ballet classes are designed for toddlers as young as 18 months and up to the age of 3 years old with their parent or carer.

While formal Ballet training normally starts at 3 years old, our Baby Steps Ballet Classes are a great introduction for toddlers and their parents to the world of ballet and dance.

They will look forward every week to getting dressed up and meeting up with other toddlers to share activities that will stimulate their imagination and help them develop strength, coordination and confidence.

Our baby ballet lessons focus on learning through play, mime, song and dance in a safe, positive and nurturing environment.

Our lessons will help to develop children's fine and gross motor skills whilst capturing children's creativity and imagination.

Baby Steps Ballet lessons are suitable for children of all abilities.

We look forward to welcoming you and your little one to the magical world of Baby Steps Ballet.

Our Ballet lessons are designed for students who have never studied ballet before to dancers who have been studying ballet consistently for many years.

Ballet classes include Barre, Stretching, Centre, Adagio, Allegro and Pointe Work.

We focus on perfecting the vocabulary of The Royal Academy of Dance syllabus as well as free work and choreography. Physical and intellectual understanding of how and why each movement is executed.

With our expert teaching methods and knowledge in dance, your child will progress further, quickly and safely.

Whether you are experimenting to see where your child's interests lie are or have an aspiring dancer, our ballet classes will provide a nurturing environment for you.

Most of our Ballet classes for children are offered twice a week. It truly expedites the muscle memory allowing dancers to progress much more quickly when they attend class multiple times per week. If you can only attend once a week, we would still love to have you.

Just expect that there will be a difference in technical ability from some of the other students by the end of the session.

Lesson duration are at least 45 minutes long so that the syllabus can be covered thoroughly and are designed to ensure each individual students talent can develop to its full potential.

Our aim is to make our lessons fun whilst establishing a strong foundation of the classical Ballet and dance technique.

Although we encourage students to be entered into The Royal Academy of Dance Examinations, this is not compulsory.

All lessons at Bristol Ballet School are taught by qualified and experienced Royal Academy of Dance Ballet Teachers. They are also qualified in First Aid and CRB checked.

We are constantly updating our dance timetable so check back often to make sure you don't miss out on a new dance opportunity.
